About NordLanka

Good Taste Knows No Borders

This started with a craving.

Not just for a drink.
For that feeling, when you try something really good and think,
“Why don’t we have this here?”

That question stuck. So we did something about it.

Nord Lanka isn’t just about importing products. It’s about importing stories. Cultures. Moments.
It’s about bringing you the things people bring back in suitcases, or miss years after leaving home.

We launched with Palestine Soda not because it’s trendy, but because it means something.
Because it’s bold, familiar, unexpected.
Because it carries flavour and history.

And that’s the energy we’re building on.
We work with people we trust to find products that aren’t just good, they’re worth sharing.
Things with identity. With edge. With a reason to exist.

This is for the ones who want more from the shelf.
Who notice the little things. Who care about where something comes from and why it tastes the way it does.

We’re not here to copy what’s trending.
We’re here to curate what matters.

And if that speaks to you, then you already get it.

So...

WHY NORD LANKA?

It’s more than a name. It’s who we are.

“Nord” speaks to where we source, regions known for quality, care, and a certain kind of quiet confidence. It’s also where this journey began. With partners across the Nordics who believed in what we’re building.

“Lanka” is everything else. It’s home. It’s why we’re doing this in the first place.

Together, Nord Lanka is our way of bridging two worlds, bringing global products to local hands, without losing the story along the way.

We’re here because we believe Sri Lankans deserve access to the very best, not watered down, not second-tier. The real thing, thoughtfully chosen, and proudly introduced.

That’s the heart behind the name.
And the promise behind every product we bring home.

FOUNDER STORY

From Moving People to Moving Products

Nord Lanka began with a question — what do people really miss when they leave a place behind? For Shakoor Wadood, that question came up often. Before launching Nord Lanka, he spent years helping people cross borders through his immigration consultancy, guiding them through new beginnings, new cultures, new homes. He saw the excitement, the fear, the paperwork. But also the homesickness. The longing. And, more often than you'd expect, the cravings. It wasn’t just countries people missed. It was the taste of home. A favourite soda. A snack from childhood. The small, familiar comforts that connect us to where we come from. That quiet insight grew into something bigger. Nord Lanka was born from that space, the space between memory and flavour. It’s about bringing those missing pieces back. And it’s about introducing Sri Lankans to global products they’ve never had the chance to try. Not because we’re behind. But because no one thought to bring them here, until now.
